Creator of Belgium chocolates since 1932

In 1932 Maurice Corné established the Corné brand. Seeing his success, his brothers and sisters also embarked on a career in the chocolate industry. To differentiate himself he decided to add his own suffix; Corné Port Royal was born.

1945

After some difficult years, there is a new flourishing in the sale of chocolates. The packaging has the colours of the Liberation Armies. The Belgians rediscover the chocolates.

1988

In the middle of the eighties, the family enterprise opens itself for exportation to Europe and the United States. Exiguous premises and expanding demand, makes the company moving to new quarters in the industrial zoning in Wavre.

1990

In 1990, the chocolate maker Vanparijse, established in 1920 by Engebert Vanparys, purchased the Corné Port Royal brand with all the secrets of its chocolates. Corné Port Royal has now a reputation well behind our boundaries with a network of chocolate stores located in Brussels, London, Madrid, Paris, Tokyo, New York ... .

The Tradition of taste

November 1997

The actual owners buy back the store Corné Port Royal in Stockel, Brussels. From then, the store try to expand its products for always better serving you.

Our Quality

Corné Port Royal uses traditional recipes and raw materials of the highest quality : pure cocoa butter chocolate without substitue vegetable fat, whole milk, Piémont hazelnuts, Faro almonds and dairy butter. All these products are garanteed to be free from genetically modified organism (GMO). A team of 50 chocolate craftsmen works each day to prepare our chocolates following recipes which have not been changed for nearly one century.
